You can cut the sheets in half. I never wash in cold water unless the fabric requires it. I use hot water. The hot water from most washers is really not the hottest but hotter then warm. I rinse using the warm setting. I haven't priced the laundry sheets these days. They use to be low priced when I used them. I think now they are considered better for the environment, less packaging and more expensive then need to be.
