On point can be very dramatic but so much more work and so many more possibilities of stretching. You would have to re-figure the final size, decide if you want to cut some blocks in half for the edge triangles or go with another fabric. Plus, to minimize stretching, you cannot leave it on the design wall. (ask me how I know)
I like the creme sashing. It shows off the blocks. I would go with coloured cornerstones. That would tie everything together. You don't really need a wide border unless you want a larger finished product. I would make the border the same size as the sashing and finish with a binding in one of the colours in the blocks. Your blocks are lovely and your quilt will be absolutely beautiful.
