I had the quilt sitting on a shelf in my living room all this time and when the call came out that quilt donations were needed for victims of Hurricane Helene in the North Carolina mountains I decided this quilt shouldn't just be sitting on a shelf. So I sent it to a donation drive held by Lo and Behold Stitchery in Black Mountain, NC. Their quilt drive led to over 3,000 quilts being donated, so many quilts came they had to send out word that they had plenty to distribute and to hold off on sending anymore.
