Nice fabric selection, JeanieG, those look just about perfect! I'm so jealous of those of you with easy pulls

Good question, DebLuvsQuilting!

My initial response is (with 3 fabrics) that I would try to make each clue roughly 1/3 of each fabric. A lot of that would depend on how close/different the fabrics are. If they are close in color/pattern I think you'd be fine doing all of a clue in one fabric. If they are very different I'd use them all so you could tell they are supposed to be the same color group.

One of the differences between Bonnie and I is that I also prefer a more controlled hand instead of Bonnie's riotous everyone in the pool. For me this year using one melon and my white on white neutrals basically being one color, I've been trying to think through how my red and aqua equivalents are going to work being scrappy.

Today is my sewing group, I have a big bag of fabrics to play with and audition for what direction I will be going in colors. I am often fooled but I have some ideas on how things will work by the amount of yardage required and some of the time I'll just be zoned out staring at my fabric in soft focus (lol easy with the state of my eyes).

Speaking of the eye issues, I have had one of my cataract surgeries and had a huge improvement in my available vision. This Friday will be the second one. Unfortunately for me my vision can't be corrected by glasses alone and I wear specialty contacts which change the shape of my eye. That means I will have a longer than usual healing time before I can wear the contacts. I do feel pretty confident that I'll be able to drive again (eventually). I feel pretty confident with the amount of vision I currently have that I will at least be able to cut my fabrics each clue and maybe sew some -- that's a big change from a month ago. Is hard to estimate but say I started with my left eye at 20/200, it's maybe more like 20/60 now. The surgery itself was super easy, fast, and not scary and I am healing well. I have some pretty weird light effects at night and they might go away, but because of my underlying issues I haven't driven at night for about 10 years anyway.
