DebLuvsQuilting - I am one who likes the controlled scrappy look as well and pull a few fabrics of each color. I then use one fabric for an entire clue. This is my 4th BH Mystery doing it this way and it works well for me. There is no right or wrong. Just do what you feel comfortable with.
