I got mine years ago during a Joanns 50% off sale. I'd be hard pressed to believe the Tutto cases would rip under any normal circumstances.
I can't imagine Tuttos ripping either. The fabric and zippers are very sturdy. I'm thinking this sewing machine guy was thinking of another tote that might rip.
