Our Thanksgiving is always with the kids/grandkids in Memphis, but this year we have been disinvited, due to my daughter's TDS. (Trump Derangement Syndrome). She's blowing up Thanksgiving (and probably Christmas, too) because our family voted different ways in the election. So stupid. We have always abided by the unspoken rule not to discuss politics at holidays. We are hurt.
my bf and I are of different faiths and both of us are faithful to our faiths. He is a wise person and often says that hatred and violence comes from having to be right, and force your beliefs on others. I find that is especially true with politics, don’t be a red worshipper or blue fanatic to the point of intolerance, it’s so sad. I hope you can find peace on Turkey day. Hugs.
