LI diva, I remember how nervous I was for my first mystery (Grand Illusion). I had so many questions -- how would I know what fabric would work where, what about this rule and this rule and this rule, etc. People reassured me (JeanieG was one!) that it would all work out; but nothing could really have prepared me for how much fun it would all be. I haven't been able to skip a mystery since. So I would urge you to hold steady and take it one clue at a time. You'll be amazed at how everything has a way of working out. And to any of your questions, I would answer . . . so what? You really have nothing to lose, and a great quilt to gain from the process. (As I recall, Grand Illusion turned out to be one of the more 'controversial' mysteries ever; you could hear the whining half way around the world, and I certainly never had to ask again, 'What does Bonnie mean by, 'no whining?') And then she followed Grand Illusion with one of her patterns of greatest acclaim, 'Allietare.'

I'm getting excited for Friday, and so glad you are joining us, LI diva!
