My mother gave me the Singer 15-91 that she got as a wedding present in 1950 and I learned to sew on. With the machine was this extra box of attachments that no matter what I did I could not get them to attach and work. So I called my mother to find out what I was doing wrong. None of the items matched the book but I figured maybe they were made special. Mother laughed, it seems her mother (my grandmother) knew nothing about sewing but she loved a good bargain, so she probably bought them on sale and had no idea it was for a different brand. When I looked closer I saw the "W" on each item. They went to the thrift store, hopefully someone else will need them.

And from what I've read there is a problem with replacing the bobbin cases on the 221 - the make sure you go through a reputable dealer.
