Welcome aboard! Are you into hand embroidering for your crazy quilting endeavors? If so, Pintangle.com is a wonderful site to learn about all sorts of stitching possiblities. If you use the search engine here in the QB, do a search for crazy quilting to see if there is anyone around that is actively doing crazy quilting. I haven't seen a thread on that for a while. Start collecting unusual beads, buttons, ribbons, charms, and anything else you want to incorporate into a crazy quilt now so when you start crazy quilting with nonstop capacity, you have a collection to choose from at your fingertips.

Do you have used clothing stores in Finland? Great buttons (and fabrics) can be found affordably there.

It is so exciting to be a beginning quilter! Enjoy working on your machines! Once you can repair them yourself, you will definitely be off and running.
