I noticed the covers are making a comeback having been remarketed and are attached to the pins. The older one are much better quality.
I seem to recall the original company that made Kwik Clip and the pin covers shut down due to the cost of having the pin covers produced. Guessing the design was purchased but whoever owns the rights now isn't using the same material or manufacturing facility/process.

Kwik-klip has gone out of business. Interesting that the old Paula Jean Creations website shows Eleanor Burns' Quilt in a Day as the customer service e-mail. I guess that's who bought the rights to the design files.)
I have a hoard of the original pin covers that I bought when the original company was shutting down production.
