are you using the regular accufeed attachment? if not, i highly recommend you try that. you don't need a special plate.
i can sew over anything with the "proper" 9mm accufeed system. it uses both sides of the feed dogs.
i have an M7, which includes the HP plate, the regular HP foot, and the HP2 accufeed. i don't like any of them. everything is more difficult because they only use half the feed dogs. i can't understand why they are so popular.
Yes it's specifically the hp foot plate and default 1/4inch foot for it as its the only foot I can see clearly for accurate piecing at high speed. The other options do run properly they just aren't what I'm looking to use (for the price i paid anyway). I do agree it's not using the feed dogs properly and causing issues I'm just stumped why a cheap domestic machine isn't having any bother with the same feed dog style.
