I had picked up a 237 at one point, and after DH got it up and running I gave it to a niece as she started her sewing adventures and wanted a machine to take to college with her.
For me, vintage machines has been an addiction, at one point I had about 150 of them. I've had to whittle it down quite a bit due to two moves and retiring, and am pretty sure I have less than 100 of them now. Unfortunately they are all in storage at this point (on our property, but not easy to get at. I also got addicted to attachments, and have totes and totes of them. I have quite a few singers, but most of my collection is 1890-1920 vintage American manufacture machines.
