Projects I did
Like everyone else, I was a mask maker during COVID - but to honor all of us I made a wall hanging that is at Yale New Haven Hospital. Its a reminder that everyone is a hero, even for one day.
The blue and white one was made for my MiL in Greece. Look close and you can see the sea life I quilted into the blocks. My MiL lives on the island of Rhodes and is lucky enough to live right on the Mediterranean.
The Churn Dash and the Log Cabin were done for a colleague at work. Her mom made the blocks but was unable to complete the quilts before she died. Her mom was so talented!
The pink quilt was made from a sari. I made it for my daughter's in-laws.
The scrap block quilt was made from all of the concept blocks that I had saved up.
And lastly, I made the quilt ladder from old machine bobbins that I found in a place called Mongers in Bridgeport CT. that was a fun one!
