Hello to all - Enjoyed catching up on the chatter. You all are so busy getting ready for the holidays. This year we won't have any family here so I haven't bothered to decorate. I do hang a seasonal flag in front of house so that is it! I did try a three new recipes and all three didn't turn out - so will make my DH his sugar free cheese cake and leave it at that.
We went to the parade on Saturday (night parade was last week, and this was during day)
In evening was the lighting of Courthouse plaza. Before switch goes on, the kids all climb up and stand on stairs and sing in between the reading of the Bible Christmas story. A 70 year tradition! Really marvelous.
Gifts this year is a year pass to indoor waterpark in Vermont for my sons family, Daughter getting Membership to Bible Museum in DC along with concert in PA. I usually put some trinkets/candy and $5 for each child (which I fold origami style). They will send me photos of them enjoying it all year long!
Made of pot of soup as nights are getting cold. Still warms up during the day so no complaints here.
I did put sashing around each perfect Boom block but haven't laid them out yet.
Yesterday our quilting/craft group got together for a small pot luck. Played Left/Right/Center and I took home the pot $30! Will be looking for sales on new rulers.
Enjoy
