I just tried these cranberries soaked in Blackberry Crowne Royal liquor overnight at room temperature, then dried a little bit in the oven and rolled in powdered sugar. They taste a little like sour patch kids with a burst of flavor. You cannot really tell that there is alcohol in them. Wow what a surprise. Apparently, the Blackberry Crowne Royal is sold out most places here because of the recipe. My friend also makes grapes, but soft-freezes them and rolls them in sugar-free Jello, she says that they are also fantastic. She says it is important to let them soak at room temperature overnight or 24 hours because they soak up better at room temperature than in the fridge. Thought I would pass it along. She is on a diabetes diet and apparently this recipe is circulating as it is low sugar. Hugs!
