Yay, JeanneG, so glad you figured out a method.
I've decided to go with the bias on the wrong sides. I will have to remind myself if it is a bit fiddly that it is my fault.
Ilovetoquilt -- more power to you. To me, Bonnie's designs going down to 1" finished ARE miniature!! I think this is certainly a good point to try a few of the different clues in smaller size.
For those that haven't started sewing yet, most of the clues aren't so bad, but no doubt that there are a lot of 4-patches. For me the key was cutting large amounts of strips and then setting on a number of what is reasonable for you to sew at one time, then keep slogging away.
