Ibex, the whole house generator is great - while it works. Ours failed during Helene due to the fact that it needed to be shut down daily for several hours and have its oil checked and refilled. No one informed us of that teensy tiny little detail and apparently no one else around here got that word either. Of the 6 WHGs in the neighborhood, 2 completely failed and one was close to failing until DH warned everyone about shutting down (a fact we learned after ours died). One ignored Bob and hers was the second to quit. Oh, well. Live and learn, the hard way. Ach. Apparently I’m still annoyed about it the lack of communication of vital info from the installing company and Generac.
Speaking of storms, we’re getting a whopper now with tremendous rain and high winds. Luckily it should cease in a few hours.
I’ve pulled more fabrics and am having a nice morning cutting and sewing. Great way to spend a stormy day.
