Wow - some seriously committed mystery quilters here! I knew I wasn't going to be doing the quilt right away but liked the idea of simple squares/HSTs for a potential project for some of my scraps down the road some day. I love the variety of fabrics being shown in your prepwork photos, and having seen JanieW's approach has me thinking of a more controlled version as well.
