I 've been quilting for over 35 years and I bought fabric faster then I could sew . Storing it has become a struggle. I have begun to give most of it away on the guild free table. Donation fabric for our community service will take it but then no one chooses the older darker prints to use for quilts, especially for the kid quilts.
Our guild donates quilts to a couple of hospitals. They get a lot of quilts for smaller kids, but the hospitals lack quilts for the older (teenage) boys. The dark fabrics work great for the older boys.
