It looks like it is a combination of Staggered Flying Geese and French Braid. I found this image that might help but you would need to extend the sides for the three strip pieces.

You are welcome. But looking at it and playing around with it a bit, I believe that parts numbered 1 and 2 got transposed. I would think that the even numbers would be the strips and the odd numbers would be the solid HST or snowballed ends. So I played around a little with the diagram and changed those. I am thinking that for my edited diagram you would sew 2 & 3 together and then add it to 1. Then sew 4&5 together and add to the right side of unit just created.
