Belfrybat, I think your first choice looks contrast-y enough. Seems to me that dark and medium being too close together is more of a problem than medium and light. But yes, when in doubt do the B and W picture thing for contrast decisions. I looked at b and W pictures for this Merry Mayhem fabric, then didn't follow it like I should have, and wish I had. Medium and dark were too close together.
