I'm glad I did too as my screen crashed after I traded it to them. I found this out as I decided to still wanted it for regular sewing and that's when they told me. I was able to use all the feet excluding the spanish hem and walking feets. I had just ordered a clear table for it and of course that wouldn't fit so I sold these items along with the mega hoop they said wouldn't fit. True I have to be careful which decorative stitch to use if I'm using the older feet but I bought most of the feet that go with the walking foot so I can use them for the wider stitches.
I think the Designer 1 machine was a great machine as I remember stitching 8 layers of blue jean fabric which I can't seem to do witht he Epic 1.
Thank you for your quick reply, and helpful advice!

I stupidly bought a Brother sewing machine that is already in the repair shop. I just want to get rid of the clutter. I have several floppy disc patterns as well. I used that machine with my xp computer that still works great. I will never be able to afford another machine like my Designer 1! It was amazing, and sewed ANYTHING!
