That's a lovely sashing choice, Carol in WI. Has something replaced the infamous sashing unit?
Thank you Joe's mom ~ I am another one who struggled with the units in the sashing and felt it was too busy for me. However I'm not sure of the plain piece in place of it is just right either. I wanted to emphasize the secondary pattern and like the star in that block.
I've loved seeing everyone's color choices and personal touches and continue to search through the pictures to get inspiration. I am amazed at everyone's unique style and creativity and trust that eventually I will come to a final choice for the sashings.
In the meantime I will go back to sewing blocks together. I have only 9 done, but all the pieces are made and bagged into sets with a goal of sewing at least 2 daily. Thank you ladies for all the inspiration and wisdom that is shared on this site...I've learned so much from Bonnie and from all of you. And thank you again Iceblossom for all the time you have put into monitoring and encouraging us long the way.
