Oh Stitches23, I really like your limited fabric palette. I think that is great but yes, next is the border!
Good going Joe'sMom. I whined for weeks about pressing those 4-patches. I think I made enough for my border but I guessed on how many I needed with making the quilt longer so a couple more may come back to haunt me.
I think I got a pretty good layout with just the blocks, but it really takes up the bed. Laying out went pretty fast but I wasn't so picky except by the matching fabrics side to side and already had my other thoughts in order. Overall effect is so busy that even though I feel I have a wide range of Gold, didn't need much balancing. Once we get the king size it will fit better. I think I'm going to have to layout the sashing on the floor. Wouldn't really need to if I went random but then again -- I didn't.
I do have all the sashing "prisms" done now, fully trimmed and pressed. I am using the tiny goose centers even though I don't really want to.. again, "Blame Bonnie" is my war cry. So next step is to floor layout and start putting the sashing together.
Lol -- and we aren't to the borders yet!
