Default Disappearing 9P with Sq in a Sqs

Hi Quilters, a friend on mine Emily, made 2 tops with sq in a squares that she sashed and added cornerstones. She had 15 or twenty Sq in Sq left and she told me it took her 80 each. I thought that’s a lot to sash so I decided to put my Sq in Sq on the 4 corners of a nine patch and make a D9P. My cornerstones were the sq in the center of the nine patch and other 4 were my white sashing. Anyway, this was made from my QOV scraps that I cut into precuts. I just text Emily this picture and she said she liked what I did. It’s something different anyway, so I thought I’d share with you. Have a great night -Toogie

ps the last photo is the way Emily laid out her sq in sq. I wanted to say too, these were made where you sew all around the outer edges of two squares, right side’s together. Then mark an X and cut only one layer you marked. It opens up and has all four corners on. You don’t have any points, though once it’s set in. I think it looks like a snowball more so that sq in sq but who am I to say.
