I made a throw for my mom (which I got back after she passed and now use daily), then later made one each for my three sisters - all with Kaffe Fassett fabrics and no batting. They are pieced fronts, backs are just 44" fabric pieced with one seam. I tied them instead of quilting. But after issues of the fabric not laying right around the edges after doing the envelope method on the first (Mom) one, I did binding on the other three, just like I would a regular quilt. They all LOVE them and use them as a daily throw in their living rooms. They are just the right weight for a light cover without being too hot (we are of a certain age, lol). Everything is cotton and breathes -and drapes and wraps around you - oh so scrumptiously. They are so soft! (not sure how to add pic on this site, I never have, or I would show you!). I saw go for it on one and see if you like it - I bet you will!
