Oh nooo! I am sorry this happened to you. During covid, I had this happen to me when I ordered Yarn. I ordered 10 skeins.
It usually comes neatly packed in a clear plastic bag and placed in a box. To my surprise, there was a few skeins without the label that comes wrapped around the yarn. One was wound into a messy ball with a loose end all frayed. 2 skeins were not the same yarn...just random yarn in the grey color I ordered, but different yarn company label and different thickness. I had to return the order. The company explained that during covid, they had inexperienced employees filling the orders.
