I just went thru this with uppers. I strongly recommend you go with someone you can trust, even if that takes time, and not go by cost. Aging and teeth removal causes lots of shifts in all places. I have been with the same dentist for over 15 years and she is amazing. I did get a second opinion just because, and that place had nothing over where I go. The dentist seemed disinterested, told me some opposites of what she said, said I had to have all my teeth removed (I also need a replacement lower partial but get to keep some of my original teeth), and the hygienist corrected him twice! It would have been a nightmare for me.

Take your time and make sure he is comfortable and trusts the person who will be fitting him. Read reviews from people who have had dental work, not those fortunate enough to just need annual cleanings. Since his gums have healed, you should be good to get upper and lower, and should, so they work together.

Good luck!
