Dunster, that quilt was made with miscut pre-cut 5" squares in the center, mostly all batiks, the gold background is various gold fabrics in my stash though I used the same along the outer edge and the border gold was some of my blender fabrics from Connecting Thread. Only needed to order a backing for this quilt and I'll never make another one this big, believe me. Each row of flaps that had to be stitched down took 1.5hr so x 9 rows (10 blocks), right there took quite a bit of time, then add stitching up all the blocks 9 x 10 = 90, I used Missouri Star Quilt tutorial from a number of years ago. Yes, I love the quilt and have no clue who it will go to once it's quilted.
