Well I had 2 UFOs from 5-6 years ago, both large quilts. The Cathedral Windows was just in long strips of blocks but I now have them together as a whole top. I still had to stitch down all the windows (flaps) around the centers which was what caused me to stop working on it altogether all those years ago. The last row stitching down the flaps just about killed me due to the weigh of the quilt. It's 9 blocks across x 10 rows down. Then I got a hair brain idea to add 3 sashings instead of just one and a 6" border. Now it's hanging up waiting to be quilted but I have other quilts, mostly large ones in front of it as I have no one to give this quilt to.
The other UFO is one I designed around a panel but got side tracked with the pieced sashing, couldn't get it to fit correctly so I pushed it aside for umpteen years. Once I get caught up with the quilt tops getting quilted, I'll pull it out as I have an idea how to remedy my problem with fitting.
The Cathedral WIndows came out at 95 x 102 using Missouri Star Quilts method.
