I've been busy and have only just managed to catch up with the last couple of pages of posts - great stories, ideas and insights along with new friends to welcome to our Fabric Moratorium. Thanks, all, for being here!

In between general life chaos I've been chipping away at my little string blocks (post #55) and have finally finished all of the HST (or QST, depending on how you look at it) triangle sub-units I think I'm going to need. My layout changed about three times through this process but I'm getting very excited about my final decision. Progress is slow most days, but I'm getting there - I don't get a lot of uninterrupted time and since I'm in a "pay attention to layout and trimming down blocks" stage I am determined not to rush through things because I don't want to have to redo blocks or take a trip to emergency for stitches! :-)

I'm not sure I'm really going to feel I've used up much of my stash but I think between WMU's estimation method and a plan to weigh my flimsy (mostly because there are between 6 and 10 interior seams in every 6.5" block), I'll be able to get a rough idea of yardage out. Fingers crossed I'll be able to report it for March. In the meantime, keep finding and using the treasures you have in your stash!
