I had a wide back 3yard piece that was actually a full 12" short. Thankfully I always measure my fabric when I receive it. Long gone are the days when there were actual morals between customer and merchants for the most part. It did take me a lot of back and forth before they would 'fix' their mistake. They actually just wanted to send me 12". The fabric was for backing of a bed size quilt. I bought it so there would be no seams --- they finally sent me the entire order of fabric in one piece. I feel bad in that they probably sent that incorrect piece that was short the 12" to some other poor soul.
