I've been fpp for many years. I have tried all the methods. I always go back to the basic Carol Doak way. I stopped using the tear away paper years ago. I use Ricky Tims Stable Stuff. It's printable on laser or ink jet. If you use paper trace over the lines with a tracing wheel before using, makes the folding much easier. Also using a water pen will make removing paper much faster.

Carol Doak has a Facebook group and she has a new pp pattern every month for free. Lots of posters share their tips on paper piecing.
