In 2018 I took a bus trip with a group of quilters up to the Sisters Outdoor Quilt show up in Oregon. I was not really familiar with Jordan Fabrics at the time, but we had a few stops at quilt stores on the trip and hers was one of them. We went on a Sunday and they opened the store just for our group. Such an amazing store with all of their pre cuts packaged so beautifully and lots of yardage too. They sold fabric scraps by the pound which I had never seen before. Donna was there and actually cut fabric for me. I also took a few pictures of the store and one of the employees saw me doing so and said "you probably want a picture with our celebrity" I didn't know what she meant, but Donna came over and took a picture with my friend and I. Of course, once I got home I looked into what Jordan Fabrics was all about and became a fan. I loved Donna's teaching style and her calm and matter of fact way. I have made several quilts she featured on her tutorials and hope they continue to teach and inspire many more quilters to come. It was heartbreaking to watch her husband on the video. He is clearly devastated and rightly so. Our quilting community was a better place with Donna in it and she will be missed.
