Thanks all for the support in this time of grief.

I cut the 3 borders for the pixel quilt. Just as I began attaching them, literally 10 stitches, DH poked his head in and announced that he was heading into town, and I needed to get ready if I was going also. So I did. We call him "Clipboard Pat" because he creates a schedule which is fairly rigid!
I did manage to stich most of the borders in the afternoon. And the pencil erasers and pencil sharpener arrived from Amazon, which I needed to continue on my sketch for the giant applique. I finally found a YT that helped point me in the right direction to attempt such a large project. She used Heat n Bond to adhere pieces. Never appliqued that way-but I love a challenge!--Sketch is still too messy to take a pic. Still designing.
