Mini Quilt Show
I'm in a group of quilters that meets on Tuesdays at our LQS on an Open Sew day. We call ourselves the Tuesday Quilters and there are currently 12 of us. At Christmas we get together for breakfast and exchange gifts which was getting a little expensive when trying to buy something for everyone. There was never a requirement to bring any gift just evolved into it and homemade gifts, food and quilting related items were the usual choices. In 2024 planning for Christmas I suggested we do a take on the Blind Date challenge the quilt shop does for Valentine's Day so we would only have to buy 1 gift. The challenge was to use a Villa Rosa pattern that used fat quarters and then to pick 6 fat quarters to go with pattern. Everything went in a brown paper bag with no indication who the giver was, we choose numbers and picked a bag (not our own) opened. We were given the opportunity to make one change from someone else if they were willing to make the trade. The recipient would add the remaining fabric required and complete the pattern for a big reveal on April Fools Day. Yesterday was exciting to see all the different quilt tops done and most are being donated to local Project Linus group that meet at the store. Here are the pics from our mini show.
