I live in a small town, no Joann's. I went to city for grandgirl's HS theater performance. Took the opportunity to shop several places.
I decided to wander around JoAnn's, west Wichita Ks. There were a couple of things I was looking for. They were out of muslin. Threads were decimated. Literally threadbare. Thread cupboards were for sale, but not pattern drawers.

I'd hoped for one of those. They are pre-selling the Ucarts for $100.
I bought an Ott light for $60, they had a whole row. Stated original price $100. After I got home, checked, the Ott website lists it for $100, so that was accurate. I looked at pins, I love good dressmaking pins, long & thin. 25% off Opened a box, very nice. (I'd buy the box I opened, friends.) So, I bought 3. Home, thought it over, $13 for pins, 25% off, I spent $30 on pins. Were they marked UP to mark DOWN? possibly.
Anyway...flannel 108" backing. Stumbled across a section. Not a lot of variety. Bolt marked $16-17, sign says 40% off. Hmm. Ok. Piled cart, went to cutting. They are only cutting whole yards. Ick. Ok. They stated Stillwater Okla is only cutting 2, 4, 6 yards. Well at least they're still cutting odd numbers. I bought 4. A couple were 2 y plus a remnant due to what was on the bolt. I asked for 5 y of one, but there was a cut at 4 y 17 ", so I took that 17" at remnant price.
When I finally reviewed my receipt, the ending price was 50% off the $16-17. Pretty great deal for 108" backing. Your bankrupt JoAnn's mileage may vary.
