ok, asked my cousin directly about the decopauged plates and washability, and this was her response. She hand washes her dishes but there is a modpauge out now for dishwasher plates https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6eQLoBF_fM

Yes, the dishes are washable. We use ours every day. Most of mine are made with regular mod podge, but they now have dishwasher safe mid podge also. The thing with washing them is you need to wash them quickly. Don’t leave them soaking in water. It loosens the finish, but if that happens, simply rinse and press and smooth back with fingers and let dry. It reseals fine. Occasionally over time the back of the plate gets rough as the sealer wears out. I simply sand lightly and reapply the mod podge. All good again.
