as i cut it i feed it over the side of my cutting station to puddle into a paper bag or small box on the floor. i clip the end to the side of the bag so i don't have to hunt for it when it's time to bind the quilt.

i don't normally press my binding in half ahead of time any more. if i do, i empty the bag onto the ironing surface then feed the pressed binding back into the was-empty-again bag or box on the floor.
