I used to avoid anything with curves but since trying my hand at the Drunkard's Path pattern, I'm no longer afraid of curves. Also tiny little pieces I used to stay away from but after doing Elizabeth Hartman's Dinosaur pattern, I'm no longer afraid of small, tiny pieces. I don't care for applique as my hands shake too much to do much handwork but I will do applique if it's one of my embroidery designs, it does all the work for me.
I try to do a pattern I've never done before so I keep evolving with my quilt making. I love paper piecing once I tried the Crystal Star by Jinny Beyer.
