When my LG went bad at 5 years, 2 months (it had a 5 year warranty GRR), I called a repairman out who said the repair cost was nearly equal to a new machine. I asked him which brands he would recommend. He told me LG and Speed Queen. Well, I wasn't going to get another LG, so I got the Speed Queen. A bit pricey but 3 years out I really like it.
