this is why I don't use them although it makes a beautiful collection of fabric from what I've seen.
according to google they average 1/4" thick so 100 would add 25" of spacetaken, 1000 would be 250" of space taken if my poor math skills are correct. someone who actually has them will correct me if I'm wrong.

I ruler folded all mine about 20+ years ago and sorted by color. I don't have any yardage. it's all still good, very easy to find what I'm lookiing for even fat quarter size. My stash since then has reduced by at least 75% so I'm a happy camper.
