I'm generally ok with days of remembrance being any day -- the remembering is more important than the when.
People always have a problem with when exactly is Thanksgiving this year, or Easter for that matter. Even worse are the time changes and I am one of the ones rooting for getting rid of daylight savings time, don't care which time they pick -- just pick one and keep to it!
Labor Day is the first Monday of September, and although it bounces around a bit, it is always close to my Birthday and I would celebrate over Labor Day weekend, regardless of where the 5th fell.
