Bonnie usually specifies what overall pattern she uses -- I would have to look it up. I just remember some sort of swirly thing...
Her quilts are so busy and so many seams, I find that picking some sort of grid and using the Serpentine stitch works really well to hold them together, is quick and easy. I think fancy quilting would get lost... but that's just me and this (and previous) projects.
