I prefer the borders to frame it. If it were me I would quilt it from the back. I have a sit-down and I have trouble seeing where I have gone in my quilting designs if the top is busy. I would definitely have difficulty with all that is going on in this top. Just a suggestion. If your tension is okay, you will be fine. You scrappy quilt is definitely a work of art.
