Hello Ivorylibby, we are almost the same age, I'm one year older (born in 1960). I still remember the tall ships, that was a big deal.

I don't credit the bicentennial for starting me quilting, was already a crafty kid, but it did certainly did help the already growing back-to-basics crafting trend. I've had some fun doing some googling, and among other things found the Bicentennial Logo available as a quilt pattern from the Gerald Ford presidential library, from Grand Rapids where my husband is from.

In my googles I did see a number of quilts which seemed to be from the same set of designs, don't know if that is what you are looking for but I haven't found the patterns, just the quilts.
