I definitely hear you.

I always refold the fabric that I purchase and measure it as I refold it. (not in the school of pre-washing) Got nailed once by being shorted almost 1/2 a yard on expensive backing fabric. I didn't notice until it was too late to do anything about it. Never again. Within a day or two of an order coming in my door, it's measured and refolded for my piece of mind.

It's a mutual exchange, in that they expect me to pay for what I order, and I expect to get what I paid for. Otherwise, I buy elsewhere.
