Stopped for shrimp on my way home from surfing with my sis! 3 foot waves were so powerful that I injured my pinky finger somehow with my leash. Embarrassingly asked lifeguard for a band-aid.

Jumbo Shrimp, head-on, were on special: 5 pounds/$40. 2 packages in freezer and Scampi with mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes over pasta for dinner. Alas, no garlic bread, though.
OK...you're on my new admiration list. (I'm sorry that you hurt your pinky.) I lived in the surfing community for most of my life and when I was young, I really wanted to learn how to surf, but it was only for guys. Girls were dropped in on, had their bikini tops torn off, cars broken into, stuff stolen on the beach, etc. I finally gave up trying to join the boys and became a serious bodysurfer. I still ran into guff, but I held my own on the big waves. Times have changed and women are a more common sight on the waves now. Good for you for getting out there!

But then I digress.

Humm...what's for dinner? Fish tacos maybe.
