My goal is to finish the Trail Mix quilt on the frame. I'm down to the bottom and lower sides of the 2 sashings and border. The border alone will take over 2 hours to stitch out once I've got it set up to go. Right now we're under a storm watch so I'll have to wait until its passed us by before I turn my machine on. In the mean time I'll work on some embroidery designs setting them up to use the threads I have on hand. I picked up some matching picture frames at the thrift store and I'll get them spray painted white. I just had my basement bathroom/closet remodeled completed and I found this wall plaque of an old clawfooted tub with a tiger stripe on the exterior side. Found some clawfooted designs on Embroidery Library that would go great with it and I have one wall across from the sink/toilet that would be great to put these frames of clawfooted tubs on. My walls on a medium grey so I'll look for a similar grey in my fabric stash to embroider these designs onto. All my cabinets are white. These frames will finish the room completely. I might need to find a couple more frames as I do have a wall at the back of the room that's empty and really needs something to spice it up. Might have to go out and get a few more designs to fill it in yet. But nothing gets turned on when its storming outside.
I've also got the layout all worked out for the next quilt to go on the frame, it's an optical illusion in reds and whites as they asked for checkerboard and this is what I came up with. Thought I had a photo of it but I don't, darn it all.
